Jennifer is a North Lake Tahoe-based freelance writer with an MFA in creative writing from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Her past work has appeared in the Sierra Sun Newspaper, North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, Tahoe Magazine, and Tahoe Quarterly.
Jennifer also shoots professional photography, having learned from her father who owned a photography studio in her hometown near Lake Erie. She specializes in family portraits, engagements, weddings, maternity and newborn, Boudoir, and food/restaurant photography. Jennifer is a licensed minister, and is available for wedding officiant services in Lake Tahoe and Northern California. As a writer, she is currently working on nonfiction book about her experience surviving a school shooting in 1998, weaved into stories of other school shooting survivors whom she met and interviewed during a three-month road trip around the United States. Part first-person, part travel memoir, and part journalism—grounded in interviews and current research from behavioral science, psychology, public health, and law enforcement—this book will provide an in-depth, deeply intimate and captivating narrative capable of transforming the way we perceive, talk about, and respond to school shootings. |
